Distinctive Ring
Distinctive Ring lets you add up to two additional phone numbers to your
service and each of the numbers are assigned a distinctive ring. These
unique rings allow different members of your household to answer the

phone only when they hear their distinctive ring, or allow you to assign
one of the distinctive rings to your fax machine. The Distinctive Ring
feature can be used to share a single phone line with a fax machine.
Please consult your fax machine owner’s manual to program it to answer
Distinctive Ring phone calls.
For more information about using the Distinctive Ring feature with a fax
machine, please refer to page 24 of this user guide.
Note: Distinctive Ring does not allow multiple, simultaneous incoming or
outgoing calls. It is still one physical line.
